Service Description

This short introductory course teaches individuals essential knowledge on allergy awareness and how to manage a casualty in Anaphylaxis (Severe Allergic Reaction). This Anaphylaxis Management qualification is Ofqual, CCEA and Qualification Wales accredited and valid for two years after the assessment date. This course meets the requirements of new statutory guidance of Benedict's Law. The Anaphylaxis Management course teaches candidates how to recognise a casualty with anaphylaxis and provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty. This 4-hour Anaphylaxis Management training is available as a standalone course or can be added to one of RLSS UK’s other first aid qualifications. After completing this Anaphylaxis Management course, candidates receive a Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis. RLSS UK’s Anaphylaxis Management course was created in partnership with the Anaphylaxis UK (previously Anaphylaxis Campaign), the only UK-wide charity solely focussed on supporting people at risk of severe allergic reactions. They empower people living with severe allergies to be more confidently in control of their lives and provide information and support to patients and their families and carers.
